Our Story
The idea for The Office Ladies, LLC didn’t come from a business plan—it came from real life.
My career has been built over more than 15 years in commercial real estate, property management, operations, and construction. Along the way, I met my husband, Rich, while we were colleagues working in property management. As our careers evolved, he started his own construction company, and while I continued building my own professional career, I naturally became the person managing the behind-the-scenes operations of his business. I handled the bookkeeping, invoicing, insurance, permits, scheduling, accounting, and countless administrative responsibilities that kept the company running smoothly.
As I got to know more contractors and small business owners, I realized our story wasn’t unique. Time and time again, I met business owners whose spouses, family members, or trusted friends were quietly managing the office after hours or on weekends. They were often referred to simply as “the office lady”—the person who made sure everything got done but rarely received recognition for the value they brought to the business.
That realization inspired me to create The Office Ladies, LLC. I wanted to transform an often-overlooked role into a professional service that gives small businesses access to affordable, experienced operational support without the cost of hiring full-time staff. At the same time, I want to create flexible, meaningful work opportunities for skilled professionals who have the experience to help businesses succeed but want the freedom of part-time or contract-based work.
What motivates me most is knowing that one business can create opportunity on both sides: helping entrepreneurs spend less time buried in paperwork and more time growing their businesses, while creating rewarding opportunities for the talented professionals working behind the scenes. That’s the impact I hope to make through The Office Ladies.
